LOOKING
AT CONFLICT WITH A SENSE OF PLAY:
Seems
like an odd concept doesn’t it? For many of us,
conflict is something to be avoided, for others it’s
something to be moved through quickly, for others it’s
an opportunity to make us better, stronger, faster. This
workshop is geared towards understanding the stages of
conflict and using specific conflicts as a testing ground
to uncover some simple principles of managing conflict
and find our way to the next step, including being adept
at deciphering the root problem and finding strategies
for staying safe. In interactive exercises, as participants
step into new roles, they see new perspectives and by
depending on the group new solutions are revealed that
just might work. Along the way, through playful experiments,
we discover many of the principles that underlie conflict.

LEADERSHIP
DEVELOPMENT:
Not everyone wants to be a leader, but everyone should
taste it, before they decide they don’t like it.
This workshop looks uses interactive exercises to illustrate
styles of leadership and help each participant figure
out what hers/his might be. A few of the large content
pieces include having a vision, clearly articulating a
point of view, understanding fundamental differences between
messages given and messages received, and listening…

BUSINESS ETIQUETTE:
Everybody knows the power hungry boss. This workshop will
help everyone figure out how to better deal with him.
This workshop is intended to provide training in the people-skills
needed to understand and negotiate the culture of “business”
through exploring self-presentation, public speaking,
status and power dynamics, effective use of email and
conflict resolution. Fundamentally, it is a practical,
hands-on course to really help youth to understand how
to present themselves to get a job, keep a job with some

workshop focuses on learning to trust each person and
respect what she/he offers the team. Through a series
of exercises we will help the group build a healthy identity
and challenge it’s resolve. Facilitated discussions
will help participants be intentional about what role
they play in the group dynamics and increase a sense of
self-sufficiency. As part of a group, participants will
find the excitement of creative problem solving, the joy
of just having a good time, and the strength in group
